The most extreme road-legal car McLaren has ever produced.
The brilliant and ill-fated Brazilian racing champion Ayrton Senna da Silva is honored with a new McLaren supercar that bears his name.
Based on the same underlying structure as the current McLaren 720S, the Senna utilizes a lighter form of carbon fiber to lower its curb weight to 1197 kg (dry), 181 kg lighter than the iconic P1.
Power provided by a 4.0-litre flat-plane-crank version of McLaren’s twin-turbocharged V8, tuned to produce 778 bhp and 800 Nm of peak torque (7-speed dual-clutch transmission). Aerodynamically efficient, the Senna rides on single-lug, nine-spoked forged alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires.
Deliveries of the just-500-to-be-produced Senna begin next year, with pricing at 750,000 Pounds Sterling in the UK. Look for the Senna in a starring role at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show in March 2018.
